Admission Criteria:
The client should be assessed as having a primary diagnosis of one or more of the following:
- alcohol or other substance dependency
- compulsive gambling
- co-dependency
- sex addiction
Clients must be:
- aged 18 or over
- physically and psychologically able to cope with the demands of the programme.
- free of legal commitments which could interfere with treatment
- willing to have their family members and/or significant others involved in their treatment programme.
Medical
A thorough history and physical examination is completed by our medical staff upon the client's admission. Where indicated, a medical detoxification regime is implemented by our Medical Practitioners and monitored by our 24-hour Nursing team.
Client Confidentiality/Release of Information
As a licensed hospital, Stepping Stones is legally bound to protect client information. All client information is held in the strictest confidence and released to third parties only upon the written authorisation of the client.
